A Vote for Cristina

Cristina and her husband Noah have lived in the City of Marietta, Ward 5 since December 2015 and they have experienced the city’s growth and development in such a short time. They feel very passionate about Ward 5 as they reside and own rental properties there. Her main focus in running for city council is to truly act as a delegate for the people of Ward 5, expressing her neighbors' questions and concerns so that they feel heard and valued; to use her position to see that actions are taken and the needs of the residents are actually carried out. She also supports local business growth and wants to aid in making wise decisions that affect our valuable Marietta city workers and staff. The aim is to continue improving Ward 5 and the city as a whole, thereby improving the quality of life for everyone that lives there.

Cristina’s major goals for a city council term are:

  • Focus on quality of life for those residing or working in Ward 5 while preserving its character and charm.

    • Keeping Ward 5 and all the Wards clean by adding trash cans to main residential sidewalks.

    • Transforming some areas within Ward 5 into dog parks or green spaces for all to enjoy.

    • Helping move City funds towards building new affordable homes within the Ward.

  • Focus on actually finishing Ward 5 improvement projects.

    • Initiating a project to widen sidewalks in Ward 5, creating a safer walk to the square yet still keeping two lane roads.

    • Address elevated crime rates in parts of the Ward and work toward solutions.

    • Creating a happy medium solution for the one-way issue on Washington & Lawrence Street

  • Focus on listening to the voice of the people.

    • Promote an open-door policy, so that residents feel confident that Cristina will make time to hear their thoughts and concerns.

    • Hold monthly town hall meetings to provide an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and concerns.

    • Help create or join committees that Ward 5 and the city as a whole need.

What are your Ward 5 thoughts and concerns? What can Cristina do for you if elected?
